Qualifications: 

Valid Mississippi teaching license with one or more of the following endorsements:

125 - Music (K-12) Perf Arts

165 - Music Instrumental (K-12)

166 - Music Education (K-12)

167 - Music Applied (K-12)

Job Functions:

• Plans a program of study that meets the individual needs, interests, and abilities of students.
• Develops reasonable rules for classroom behavior and procedures; maintains order in the classroom in a fair and just manner.
• Takes all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities.
• Responsible for insuring that the district's fixed asset procedures are followed.
• Ensures proper conduct and discipline of all student members of the choir.
• Motivates students to achieve maximum potential.
• Maintains a clean and organized band/choral hall.
• Works collaboratively with staff, families, and community resources.
• Performs any other duties and activities deemed appropriate by the superintendent/principal.
